In Ancient Egypt, temples were built as chambers of remembrance, where stone, sound, and scent were used deliberately to guide the body into receptive states. Oils, prayer, and ritual stillness supported deep trance, allowing harmony, insight, and inner order to surface naturally.
In Ancient Greece, healing temples invited people to prepare, lay down, and enter dreamlike states of incubation. Through rest, vision, and quiet attunement, the body’s own intelligence guided restoration.
